David Taylor, Founder, President & Creative Director

David has been in the web development and graphic design field for over 17 years. Having worked on the creative team for a number of agencies, he recognized that clients preferred having all of their creative services done by one great vendor, not multiple agencies incapable of sewing all the threads together. With a talented band of designers, developers, and writers, David decided to put the pieces together and launch David Taylor Design, LLC in 2007.

Now, when he’s not pushing pixels around the page or brainstorming with clients, he enjoys teaching his kids to ride bikes, or other fun child activities, like “let’s wake up daddy at 5 in the morning”.  Email David.

Tanya Marks, Director of Project Management

Tanya loves Scrabble so much that she may actually need to start going to Scrabblers Anonymous!  But really she just likes solving puzzles, which is essentially what a design project is.  How should all of the pieces fit together to make a cohesive picture?  A picture that will convey a message a client is trying to deliver to their clients or help guide viewers to find what they’re looking for in an organized and user-friendly way.  With over 13 years of project management experience in the Internet and video production arenas she’s learned that the devil is in the details.  If her last letter tiles were the Q, X and Z she’d say “Bring it on!”  Email Tanya.

Jed Verity, Technical Advisor

Jed began his career in information technology in San Francisco in the late 90′s, back when they were giving away great jobs to anybody who showed a little enthusiasm. In the years since, he has worked as the IT Director for Canto Software, Inc. and the CTO of Fenton Communications, eventually founding his own consulting company, Verity Solutions. All of this was prelude to his dream of returning to graduate school and starting a career in academia, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Tibetan Buddhism at the University of Virginia.

The extra-curricular skills Jed likes to brag about in bios such as these are as follows: he is a speaker of six languages, a published author of fiction, an accomplished musician who has written and performed soundtracks for three films, and an officiator of weddings.

Jed lives with his wife in Charlottesville, VA, home to Thomas Jefferson, John Grisham, Wallace Shawn (the nerdy “Inconceivable!” guy from The Princess Bride), and the Dave Matthews Band. Email Jed.
